1. THIRTY (30) YEAR, NON-PRORATED, TRANSFERABLE, LIMITED WARRANTY.

Quality aluminum Soffit, Gutter, Trim Coil and accessories are warranted to you, the original purchaser, that for a period of thirty (30) years from the date of installation, the aluminum products you have purchased will be free from manufacturing defects resulting in peeling, blistering, flaking, checking, cracking or crazing. Should such manufacturing defects exist they will be remedied by Quality Aluminum without charge to the homeowner, if reported in accordance with the notice provision contained in Section 4.

2. REGISTRATION AND TRANSFER OF WARRANTY.

The attached Warranty registration card should be completed and returned to Quality Aluminum within thirty (30) days after completion of installation.

If the original purchaser of these products sells the structure to which they are attached, the new owner is also eligible for warranty coverage, provided Quality Aluminum is notified of the change of ownership in writing. Such notification must include proof of purchase of the product, and proof of transfer of title to the structure. Such written notices must be received by Quality Aluminum Products, Inc. PO Box 269, Hastings, MI 49058, within thirty (30) days from the date of transfer of ownership. Failure to do so shall relieve Quality Aluminum of the obligation of extending warranty coverage to the new owner.

3. CONDITIONS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY.

This warranty is not applicable to soffit applied to motor homes or used in industrial applications.

Fading is not included in the 30-year warranty provision contained in part 1 of this warranty. However, Quality Aluminum does warranty these products against color change in excess of a Delta E of 8 Hunter unites caused by manufacturing defect, which occurs within five (5) years after the date of completed installation and is reported to Quality Aluminum in accordance with the notice provision contained in Section 4.

(A) Normal weathering: normal weathering is defined as exposure to sunlight and extremes of weather and atmosphere which will cause any colored or painted surface to gradually fade, chalk or suffer an accumulation of surface dirt or stains. The severity of any of these conditions depends upon the geographical location of your area, and many other local influences over which Quality Aluminum has no control.

(B) Damage caused by faulty or improper installation or application of the products, or settlement, distortion, warping, failure or cracking of the structure, or materials to which these products are applied:

(C) Earthquake, hurricane, tornado, cyclone, gale, lightning, fire, acts of God, flood, wind borne objects, ice or weather of catastrophic nature as defined by the United States Weather Bureau:

(D) Damage caused by atmospheric pollutin acid rain and other harmful chemicals, fumes or vapors directly applied to the products in the atmosphere.

(E) Vandalism, misuse, physical abuse, riot, insurrection or civil dis-order

(F) Negligence in, or failure to provide, reasonable and necessary maintenance of the soffit to prevent an accumulation of surface dir, chalk, staining, or mildew. (Please see care and maintenance instructions on this certificate.)

4. CLAIMS AND REMEDIES.

IMPORTANT: ALL CLAIMS UNDER THIS WARRANTY MUST BE REPORTED TO QUALITY ALUMINUM WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE DATE THAT THE DEFECT IS FIRST DISCOVERED OR REASONABLY COULD HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED. Quality Aluminum must have a reasonable opportunity to instpect the products in questions for defectes covered by this warranty. Quality Aluminum, at its option, will repair, replace (including materials and labor) or refund the actual purchase price of the defective materials. Quality Aluminum may direct and pay a company, dealer, contractor applicator or distributor to perform any rememdy under this warranty on Quality Aluminum's behalf. All warranty work will be performed by Quality Aluminum or its agents within an 180 day period. If not, repair or replacement will be completed as soon after the 180 day period as weather conditions will reasonably permit. Quality aluminum reserves the right to discontinue or make changes in any of its products. If the products covered by this warranty are not available, Quality Aluminum shall have the right to substitute a product that, in Quality Aluminum's sole discretion, is of equal quality or value.

QUALITY ALUMINUM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WITH RESPECT TO THE SOFFIT, GUTTER, TRIM COIL AND ACCESSORIES COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
